Ballad of a Soldier

Well this was a interesting movie, it does a very good job of showing the troubles and overall suckyness of WW2, not only for the main character Alyosha, but for the soldiers that are fighting with him. The scary part is, WWII was really like this. The other thing I really noticed is how this film doesn't make much referance to the communist or socialist ways in any way that would glorify it. I must say that this was a truely eye opening film to me and I will never look at war in the same way after watching Ballad of a Soldier.
